After many years spent between the UK and France, she moved to Slovakia and then to Canada where she resides now. She occasionally enjoys a wee dram of scotch after an afternoon of gardening or pot throwing.
Amélie unites story and gameplay.
She doesn’t see stories as a simple wrapper for gameplay, but rather as a mean to deliver a consistent and compelling experience to players that revolves around a theme. Defining this theme and how it connects to gameplay features, antagonist forces and players abilities is central to her vision of narrative work.
She started working in the games industry by writing content for serious games for Airbus back in 2011. From there she moved to indie games, where her diverse skill set allowed her to develop both narrative content and user research methods to support game development. Amélie currently works for Ubisoft as a Senior Scriptwriter. The last project she contributed to, Skull&Bones is to be released early 2023.
She is experienced in Scriptwriting, Narrative Design, Voice Direction, Character Design, Lore Building and enjoys close collaborations with other disciplines.
